With over 20 years’ experience within the healthcare sector, I graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 2009, when my OT career began within NHS mental health inpatient and outpatient services. My experience has since broadened to include working with people with physical, cognitive and mental health needs across the NHS, local authorities, private practice and as an independent practitioner.
Over the years, I have developed extensive experience in completing functional assessments, alongside a strong knowledge of assistive technology, equipment and adaptations within the home environment. I feel that my experience across different areas of healthcare, combined with a practical and person-centred approach, has enabled me to build strong working relationships with the people I support. This allows me to take the time to understand each person, their individual needs, routines and goals, and how these may affect their everyday life.
